Exponent v2.2.0 Released

Exponent v2.2.0 is an important milestone in the development of this Content Management System which includes many new features! v2.2.0 marks the final removal of all 'old school' 1.0 style code and modules which were necessary to initially launch v2.0.0. It also marks the e-Commerce Online Event Registration and Online Donations as nearly 'Out of the Box' ready.

Highlighted updates in this new version are:

* requires update of hard-coded modules in themes to conform to 2.0 controller calls
* requires updating YUI3 CSS Reset links to use new name (e.g., grids-min.css became cssgrids-min.css)
* Flowplayer & YouTube modules are deprecated but still present in this distribution, they will be removed in the future
- replaces the containermodule with container 2.0 controller
- forces deprecation/removal of formmodule/formbuilder, headlineController
-- also fully deprecates/removes calendarmodule, simplepollmodule, & navigationmodule if they still exist
- moves jQuery/Twitter-Bootstrap as primary libraries over YUI2/3 (which are still backwards compatible)
- adds theme export feature
- adds new 'blog' & 'eCommerce store' site database samples in addition to 'sample site' during installation
- adds category support to blog module
-- adds new comments and categories views to blog
- adds file upload pause, resume, & cancel feature
- adds normalize.css and Twitter Bootstrap as system (theme) features
- enhances attached file display features
- adds new html5 media player module for audio, video & youtube, which deprecates both flowplayer and youtube modules
- updates filedownload module media player to html5 (flash not required)
- adds new import form data, or create a form from csv file feature
- adds new import users from csv file feature
- adds ability to optionally run selected 'upgrade scripts' outside of installation
- moves /conf folder inside /framework to help streamline folder structure
- tweaks and adds more features to eCommerce (online donations and event registrations) making it more robust and polished

-- adds single or multi-person event registration using site forms to collect registration data

-- adds more simple controls to forms designer (email, url, telephone, range, number, several date/time controls)
-- allows switching to similar type control after creation
- updates style of maintenance/site-down page

As a note, v2.1.2, v2.1.3, and v2.1.4 were previously released as bug fixes for the v2.1.1 release. These fixes are incorporated (or actually came about as the result of development with) into v2.2.0.

Exponent v2.1.1 includes many new features! These includes new views for several modules and time-saving features to increase administrative user productivity. You'll also notice the user interface has been updated for a more consistent and modern style, yet retains the familiar look. One of the more important updates includes the new Forms 2.0 module and 'in-place' text module editing and module navigation.

Highlighted updates in this new version are:
- adds many new event calendar features
    -- adds event copying feature (create new event from existing event)
    -- adds optional attached images to events and event registrations
    -- adds optional event popup in a lightbox dialog (like google calendar)
    -- adds 'cancelled event' feature to display events as cancelled

- updates file manager with 'virtual folder' grouping and date features to assist locating files

    -- adds new QuickUpload feature to bypass file manager/file uploader for file selection
- updates file uploader to allow html5 drag/drop support and some other user-friendly features

Version 2.0.9 has been released! This update includes many, many changes and fixes! While this release focused on greater HTML5 & PHP v5.4 compliance, & module upgrades, we didn't stop there.

Exponent 2.0 Released!

Exponent 2.0 was released in August 2011 and is suitable for production websites. 2.0 was the first stable release since version 0.98, though there were various pre-release editions available over that two (2) year development period.

Exponent is regularly updated with new features and fixes.

Our developers are always hard at work to add additional features to Exponent. So, you can plan on regular updates being delivered. Additionally, you can find the pre-released code for the next version available online at our github project site.
